Throwback Thursday: ’70’s Style Then And Now

Cynthia: Here’s Jane Pauley with her cat back in 1978. Isn’t she a primo bunny?

Cynthia:  And here are super duper cool LA girls, Martinique Nitzani and Heather Pasternak in 1970’s style in 2014. Meeeeoooooowwww!

Cynthia: Cool beans! I am so excited that the easy breezy ’70’s are back in vogue. Don’t our friends and fellow cat lovers, Martinique and Heather, look way fab in their groovy threads, Marcy?

Marcy:  Awesome Pawsome! They are WAY Chic. To The Max. Maybe they could give you lessons on how to dress like a foxy chick and not some sad disco wallflower.

Cynthia:  But, I thought you liked my yellow bell bottoms and puka shell necklace?

Marcy (snickering):  Oh, I do. Psyche!

Cynthia:  Oh.

Marcy:  Get real, Cindy. No one wants to hang out with Disco Duck.

Cynthia:  Are you calling me a duck? That’s not very decent of you.

Marcy:  If the flipper fits.

    Wow! Jane Pauley! Who knew?!

I am at this very moment wearing a poncho and bell bottoms. Not flares, but straight up bell bottoms. So, super excited about 70s comebacks! I even took a pic today giving the peace sign. Yellow bell bottoms! Is that for real? Because those sound like the best thing ever. Seriously. I must see these!

Cool Beans (says me in 1987 and now)
      Coolio (says me in 2014)
      I am such a dork I know.
I so hope you post the pics on your blog. Sigh… the yellow bell bottoms are in my dreams. I really need to learn how to sew.

Wish I had saved my bright green double-breasted, brass buttoned, bell-bottomed pantsuit (1975). Got LOTS of compliments on it. Those were the days.

This is pure randomness on my part, but I have a rubber duck that lights up in flashing red and blue lights when I tap him against something – my BF and I call him "disco duck." So there's nothing wrong with any resemblence to disco duck – he's pure awesomeness! ;o)
