Plaid Pants! (And The Entire LOFT Store Is On Sale)

Public Service Announcement: LOFT is on sale through Saturday. What do you think of these plaid pants?

(buying via the affiliate links may result in Marcy getting more treats)

Cynthia:  Hey Marcy, remember two years ago when we started blogging and we did a post on the awesome plaid pants Miranda Levy created for Project Runway? Remember?

Marcy:  Yeah. Those pants got sent home.

Cynthia:  It was a travesty!

Marcy:  A monumental travesty!

Cynthia:  A travesty of epic proportions!

Marcy:  A travesty so great the whole world almost ended!

Cynthia:  All joking aside, it was pretty infuriating.

Marcy:  Yeah.

Cynthia:  Well after two years of ogling plaid pants but never finding any as great as Miranda’s plaid pants, I have finally pulled the trigger and purchased some rad plaid. What do you think?

Marcy:  That’s some mad plaid. But… you’ll never were them. You only wear your jeans. You can’t handle the plaid.

Cynthia:  I’m going to try! I mean, the entire LOFT store is 40% on sale until Saturday so I figure what the meow, I’ll buy ’em and try ’em.

Marcy:  This post is obviously serving as a PSA to everyone needing work clothing (looking at you, Patty) to check out LOFT.

Cynthia:  It is a pretty awesome sale. We’ll do a plaid pant outfit post as soon as my pants arrive! Aaaackkk… I can’t wait!

Mary:  Ow. Your screeching is as loud as that plaid.

*LOFT sale is 40% off the entire store – B&M and online. Through Saturday. Code is FallStyle. 🙂

I think you are brave to buy clothes online. I never do it, main reason is about having to return stuff, I hate boxing stuff up for mailing, and hate going to the post office. And as long as I’m being a big hater, I must confess that for me, I hate plaid. Gosh, is this coming under the auspices of what our mothers used to say, if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all? 😳. (Naw, right, Marcy?). All of my personal poopyness aside, I think that you will look great, and look forward to the plaid pants post!

All clothing criticism and fashion hates are more than welcome on my blog. I’m a catty cat after all! And a big pooper. Party and otherwise.

Confession: I hate plaid too. Most of the time. For some reason every once in a while I like them in pant form. Never in a shirt or a coat or a skirt though. So random, I know!
If a company makes returns easy I don’t mind. I’d almost rather try stuff on at home. Going to the store is more of a pain in the butt for me. This is a recent development.
Btw, I love your awesome comments – and you definitely did not sound negative. I find what we all like and dislike really fascinating!! I mean, how can I hate plaid and then drool over a pair of plaid shiny joggers?! So weird!

Those plaid pants are too rad! Can’t wait to see how you style them. I really like the cuff at the bottom too. I think they’d be adorbs with a white tee, black blazer, and sharp little loafers or flats. Or a crew sweater layered over a chambray shirt or crisp white button-up for the ultimate prep school look. Have fun with these! Ah, the victory of finding something after a two year hunt!

OMG – I loooooove your suggestions! Thank you!!! Crossing my fingers that they fit and look good. I am able to risk it because of LOFT’s easy return policy.

I admire your courage for buying pants without a face to face introduction and for buying pant that are sometimes worn by elderly golfers.

I do like Liz’s pairing ideas and the pants are pretty cute.
    Hope they meet all expections!

      Easy! Free Returns!
I was hoping they look more “British cool girl” than elderly golfers. Ugly is “in”!
Liz is amazing at styling! She can style anything and make it look fab!

What the Meow! I think you should totally rock those pants! 🙂 BTW…old navy has a bunch of gauchos in cool fabrics…I thought of you when I saw them. 🙂

Co-sign on the buying online, then returning. Would SOOOO rather try things on in my house than in-store. But that is because I am a middle-aged curmudgeon. (No, Marcy didn’t hack my account!!)

That being said: LOVE the plaid, STILL hate the whole jogger pants thing. If those came in a trouser, I’d be all over ’em. I knew I should have saved mine from 7th grade… they were purple and black. And kind of… I think I would call the material, “felt”? Better than the ones that had stirrups at the bottom!

I am guilty of an oversized plaid shirt right now. And I love. It’s soft and cozy.

Can’t wait to see you in your pants, C!
I know you’ll style them well. I haven’t seen you fail once –

OMG – I wish you would have saved them. Too incredible! Purple and black and … FELT?!! I had a pair of navy and black plaid in lightweight cotton probably around the same time – 10th grade for me I think. In fact, I think they are somewhat similar to the ones above. Hmmmm… I must be regressing.

You will look so awesome in those pants Cindy! I can’t wait to see the pictures. And thanks for the Loft PSA. I will go to their website right now.
